Miss Clay

Meet Clay Newton – Co-Owner of BAPA

From London to Atlanta, Clay Newton has built a remarkable journey in the performing arts — one that began on the very stage of The British Academy of Performing Arts and has come full circle as she now helps lead the studio she once called home.

Clay trained extensively with BAPA’s Academy Dance Company (ADC) and Musical Theatre Company (MTC), performing for over eight years in productions such as The Nutcracker, Polar Express, Esmeralda, Les Misérables, The Addams Family, and Oliver. Her time on stage gave her a deep appreciation for the artistry of performance, but it also revealed her true passion: the magic that happens behind the scenes.

With a keen eye for detail and a love for organization, Clay discovered her calling in theatre management, stagecraft, and costuming. This passion led her to pursue a BA in Theatre Production and Costuming at Marymount Manhattan College in New York, followed by a Master’s degree in Theatre Administration from the University of Amsterdam.

Now, as Co-Owner of BAPA, Clay combines her professional expertise with her lifelong connection to the studio. She brings boundless enthusiasm, creative vision, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student shines. For Clay, theatre management is more than logistics — it’s about creating an environment where performers feel supported, productions come to life seamlessly, and the joy of the arts can flourish.

Having discovered her calling at BAPA, Clay is proud to carry its legacy forward, nurturing the next generation of dancers, actors, and performers while honoring the traditions that first inspired her.
